Direct Entry (DE) Requirements for English Language and Literature
Without wasting much time, the direct entry requirements to study English Language and Literature are:
Two ‘A’ level passes to include Lit.-in-English and one other Arts subject.
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) UNIZIK accept NCE with English major, (Candidates to spend one extra year in UNIZIK).
(ii) IMSU – no direct entry.
(iii) UNIBEN accepts NCE credit in English as main subject.
(iv) UI accepts at least Merit pass in two NCE teaching subjects including English Literature (NOT GENERAL ENGLISH) provided that they meet the basic ‘O’ level requirements. Accepts also2 ‘A’ level subjects to include Literature in English.
(v) NTNU accepts any two A’ level passes in Arts or Social Sciences subjects, ND/HND (lower credit) or NCE (merit) in relevant fields.
Note that the above direct entry requirements may only apply to English Language and Literature under the faculty of Arts and Humanities.
