JAMB Subject Combination For Geology and Exploration Geophysics
In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Geology and Exploration Geophysics under the Faculty of Sciences in the institutions listed above are:
Any three of Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Biology and Geography.
O Level (WAEC and NECO) Requirements For Geology and Exploration Geophysics
In order to study Geology and Exploration Geophysics in the University, you will need to pass the following requirements in your O level result which can either be WAEC or NECO or even both:
Five SSCE credit passes in English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and any other subject.
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) EBSU requires five SSCE credit passes including English
Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology in not more than two sittings.
(ii) EBSU requires ‘five O’ level credit passes in English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics.
EBSU does not accept physically challenged candidates because of the strenuous nature and the requirement of transversing difficult terrains and mountainous areas.
Direct Entry Requirements For Geology and Exploration Geophysics
To apply for Geology and Exploration Geophysics as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: (i) Two ‘A’ level passes from Geology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Biology and Geography.
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) EBSU accepts HND, NCE and ND with a minimum of Merit and Upper credit respectively in the relevant fields.
