WAEC And NECO Subject Requirements for Electrical / Electronic Engineering
The subjects required to study Electrical / Electronic Engineering in both WAEC and NECO are as follows:
Five SSCE credit passes to include Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English Language and any other Science subject.
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) ANSU and ESUTECH accept a pass in English Language.
(ii) NDU requires five ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any other subject in not more than two sittings.
(iii) OSUSTECH and UNILAGOS require credit pass in Further Mathematics.
(iv)UI accept ND/HND at upper credit level.
(v) UI accepts 2 ‘A’ level passes in Physics and
Mathematics plus UTME requirements. Accepts also
ND/HND at upper credit level {65%} accepted to 200/300 Upper levels respectively plus UTME requirements. Knowledge of Further Mathematics is an advantage for all Engineering Courses.
(vi) COVENANT requires O/L five credit in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and either of Further Mathematics, Biology or Technical Drawing.
(vii) NTNU accepts English Language, Mathematics and either Physics or Chemistry and any other two Science subjects.
(viii) FUTA requires at least five credit passes in subjects which include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry at NOT more than two (2) sittings..
(ix) BELLS require five SSCE Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and any other Science subject.
(x) NTNU accepts credit pass in Geography as the fifth Science subject.
(xi) FUNAAB requires credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology.
(ii) FUTO accepts any other Science subjects as the fifth subject and not more than two sittings.
(xiii) FED-OYEEKITI requires five Credit Passes in SSCE (or its equivalent) including English Language, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and one Science or Social Science subject.
(xiv) UNN requires five O’ level credit passes to include, Physics, Chemistry Mathematics, in not more than two sittings.
