JAMB Subject Combination For Educational Management
In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Educational Management under the Faculty of Education in the institutions listed above are:
Economics, Mathematics and one other Social Science/Arts subject.
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) TASUED – Mathematics, Government and any other relevant subject.
(ii) UI – requires English Language, the subject area of specialization and one each from Arts, Social Sciences or Sciences.
(iii) NDU accepts Social Science subjects.
(iv) LASU requires candidate’s teaching subject or any other subject where the candidate’s teaching subject is Economics.
(v) UNIBEN accepts:
a. Management Economics: Accepts Economics, Mathematics and one other Social Science/Art Subject.
b. Management Political Science and Public Administration: Accepts Government or History, one Social Science subject and any other subject.
O Level (WAEC and NECO) Requirements For Educational Management
In order to study Educational Management in the University, you will need to pass the following requirements in your O level result which can either be WAEC or NECO or even both:
Same as in Educational Psychology, Guidance and Counseling.
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) TASUED requires Five ‘O’ level credits at one sitting or six ‘O’ level credits at two sittings to include English Language, Mathematics, Economics and other subjects from Arts, Social Science or Science.
(ii) UI – requires 5 ‘O’ level credit passes at one sitting to include English Language, Mathematics, Economics and other subjects from Arts, Social Sciences or Sciences.
(iii) AAUA requires Economics, Mathematics and one other Social Science subjects.
(iv) UNILORIN accepts a pass in Mathematics in lieu of credit pass.
(v) LASU requites credit pass in candidate’s teaching subject. The teaching subjects are Economics, Geography, Political Science (Government), Business Administration (Business Studies) and Accounting.
(vi) BSU accepts GR II Teachers Certificate with credit/merit passes in five subjects including English Language and Mathematics at not more than two (2) sittings.
Direct Entry Requirements For Educational Management
To apply for Educational Management as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: Same as in Educational Psychology, Guidance and Counseling.
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) UI – Same as in Adult Education.
(ii) TASUED requires ‘A’ level/NCE with merit in two relevant subjects. It also accepts ND/HND with Upper Credit.
(iii) UNILORIN – Direct Entry only. Requires NCE with at least a Teaching Subject in Arts , Social Science or Agric. Education.
(iv) LASU requires two A’ level passes or NCE merit passes to include the candidate’s teaching subject. The teaching subjects shall be Economics, Geography, Political Science (Government), Business Administration (Business Studies) and Accounting. Does not accept ND or HND.
(v) BSU accepts NCE with SSCE/GCE, WAEC, NECO five (5) O’ level credit passes or equivalent in five (5) other subjects including a credit in Mathematics and English Language OR a pass at Lower credit level in a relevant National Diploma provided the O’ level requirements are met.
(vi) NDU – Same as Vocational and Technical Education.
