JAMB Subject Combination For Education and Hausa
In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Education and Hausa under the Faculty of Education in the institutions listed above are:
Hausa, one Arts and one subject from Economics, French, Geography/Physics, Government, History, Islamic Studies, Literature In English and Mathematics.
O Level (WAEC and NECO) Requirements For Education and Hausa
In order to study Education and Hausa in the University, you will need to pass the following requirements in your O level result which can either be WAEC or NECO or even both:
Five SSCE credit passes to include English Language and Hausa.
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) ABU accepts TC II credit/merit.
(ii) UMYU accepts five O/Level credit passes including English Language, Hausa and another three Arts subjects with a pass in Mathematics.
(iii) BUK requires Five O’ Level Credit passes to include English language, Hausa plus three other subject
Direct Entry Requirements For Education and Hausa
To apply for Education and Hausa as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: Two ‘A’ Level passes in relevant subjects to include Hausa.
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) UDUSOK and BUK accept NCE (merit).
(ii) UMYU accepts two credit passes in the subject of specialization and any other Arts subjects. NCE at credit Level in the subject of specialization is also acceptable.
