What is Engineering?
Before we proceed, let’s take a brief definition on what engineering is all about.Â
According to an online Dictionary : it is the branch of science and technology concerned with the design, building, and use of engines, machines, and structures.
I can as well define Engineering as the application of Science for solving man’s problem.
Having known that, we can now go ahead and list out all Engineering Departments and Courses Offered in Lagos State University (LASU).
LASU ENGINEERING COURSES AND DEPARTMENTS
Chemical And Polymer Engineering
The work of a Chemical and Polymer Engineer relates to that of converting natural and synthetic raw materials into a host of products that include plastic, rubber, textile fabric and advanced materials.
Electronics And Computer Engineering
Electronics and Computer Engineering is a branch of Electronics Engineering which deals with the effects of electrons to build components, devices, systems, or equipment.
Mechanical Engineering
Mechanical engineering is the discipline that applies engineering, physics, and materials science principles to design, analyze, manufacture, and maintain mechanical systems. It is one of the oldest and broadest of the engineering disciplines.

REQUIREMENTS TO STUDY ENGINEERING IN LASU
For you to gain admission into any of LASU Engineering Courses or qualify to apply for admission to study Engineering, you must have passed the following requirements:
1. A minimum of Five Credit in O-Level Certificate (WAEC, NECO or NABTEB). To save you the stress, you need at least a credit pass in
2. You must have also used the following as your JAMB subject combination:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Physics and
- Chemistry
