This is to inform all Jamb aspirants that the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has annulled the chances of candidates selecting two (2) public Universities during UTME registration.
This in effect means that candidates are only allowed to select either a Federal, State University or Polytechnic as First choice instead of a Federal University as First Choice and then State University as Second Choice.
Jamb University Selection New Procedures
The new procedures now is as Follows:
The 4th choice option can only be IEI; i.e. candidate can only select an IEI as their 4th choice
Candidates can select NCE as their choices up to 3 times i.e. 1st choice, 2nd choice and 3rd choice
Candidates can select ND as their choices up to 3 times i.e. 1st choice, 2nd choice and 3rd choice.
Candidates can select IEI as their choices up-to 4 times i.e. 1st choice, 2nd choice, 3rd choice and 4th choice
Candidates can select IEI as their choices up-to 3 times i.e. 1st choice, 2nd choice and 3rd choice.
Why Did Jamb Release this Kinda Update
The Reasons are given below:
“Due to the reasons that candidates hardly get admissions into their second and third choice universities.
Therefore it is of no use choosing a university as second choice when in actual sense they can’t even accommodate their first choices”
