JAMB Subject Combination For Computer Education
In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Computer Education under the Faculty of Education in the institutions listed above are:
Mathematics, Economics/Commerce plus one of Chemistry/Physics/Biology
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) UNN requires Mathematics or Physics and two other Science subjects.
(ii) UNIBEN requires Mathematics, Physics and any other Science or Social Science subjects.
(iii) IAUED requires Mathematics and any two of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography and Economics in order of preference.
O Level (WAEC and NECO) Requirements For Computer Education
In order to study Computer Education in the University, you will need to pass the following requirements in your O level result which can either be WAEC or NECO or even both:
Five SSCE credits including Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) UNIBEN requires five O/Level credit including English Language, Mathematics and two other Science or Social Science subjects.
(ii) AAUA accepts a pass in Chemistry.
(iii) IAUED requires five O’ level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics and any other three subjects from Further Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Agricultural Science.
(iii) UNN requires five O’ level credits in English Language, Mathematics or Physics, plus three Science or Social Science subjects
Direct Entry Requirements For Computer Education
To apply for Computer Education as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: (i) Two A/Level passes or equivalent in Physics and Mathematics.
(ii) National Diploma in Computer Science.
(iii) Distinction or Credit or Merit or Pass in NCE in Computer Education or Physics or Mathematics
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) UNIBEN requires:
(a) Two A/Level passes including Mathematics and one Science subject plus 3 O/Level Credit passes including English Language at one sitting
(b) 2/3 NCE merit passes including Computer Science or Mathematics/Physics plus 3/2 ‘O’ level credit passes at one sitting.
(ii) IAUED accepts NCE with credit passes in Mathematics and another Science subject.
