This is to inform teachers, students, parents, guardians and the general public that the resumption date of schools in Edo State has been announced by the Edo State government. This resumption date is for but not limited to primary schools, secondary schools as well as tertiary institutions in Edo State.
Edo State Schools Resumption Date
September 6, 2021.
Schools in Edo State will be resuming on the 6th of September, 2021.
Junior Secondary School students are to resume 8am in the morning while Senior Secondary School students will resume by 12:30pm.
Parents and guardians are expected to provide face masks for their children and wards in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).
School Heads and Proprietors are to ensure strict adherence to COVID-19 safety protocol guidelines and collect copies of the 2020/21 academic calendar from the office of the Chief Inspectors of Education in the 18 Local Government Areas.

You are to take the following preventive measures at all times.
- Hand washing sports to guarantee regular washing of hands by students, teachers or anyone entering the school.
- Sitting arrangement in classes must be mapped 2 metres away from each other to prevent body contact.
