JAMB Subject Combination For Surveying and Geoinformatics
In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Surveying and Geoinformatics under the Faculty of Sciences in the institutions listed above are:
Physics, Mathematics, and any of Chemistry, Geography, Art, Biology and Economics.
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) UNIBADAN requires any 3 Science subjects.
(ii) ABU requires Geography, Biology and any other Science subject.
(iii) UNN requires Geography and any two subjects preferably Arts or Social Science subject.
O Level (WAEC and NECO) Requirements For Surveying and Geoinformatics
In order to study Surveying and Geoinformatics in the University, you will need to pass the following requirements in your O level result which can either be WAEC or NECO or even both:
Five SSCE credit passes in English Language, Maths, Physics, Chemistry and any of Fine Art, Geography or Wood Work, Biology, Econs, Tech. Drawing, Further Maths., Introduction to Building Construction, Bricklaying/Block laying, Concreting, Wall, Floors and Ceiling Finishing, Joinery, Carpentry, Decorative Painting, Lining, Sign and Design, Wall Hanging , Colour Mixing/Matching and Glazing, Ceramics, Graphics Design, Graphic Printing, Basic Electricity.
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) UNN requires Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSSC) or its equivalent with five credits including Mathematics, Physics and Sciences. A credit pass in Geography is compulsory.
Direct Entry Requirements For Surveying and Geoinformatics
To apply for Surveying and Geoinformatics as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: (i) Two ‘A’ level passes chosen from Mathematics or Physics and Chemistry, Geography or Fine Arts.
(ii) ND/HND upper credits in relevant field.
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) UNN accepts:
(a) Passes in Mathematics and Physics at the GCE, Advanced Level or its equivalent and three other credit level passes in SSSC examination or GCE O’ level or its equivalent.
(b) National Diploma (ND) or its equivalent in Surveying, with pass at Upper Credit level, from an NBTE accredited institution or recognized higher institution.
(c) Bachelors Degree in the Physical Sciences and Engineering Disciplines.
