JAMB Subject Combination For Education and Integrated Science
In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Education and Integrated Science under the Faculty of Education in the institutions listed above are:
Any three of Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Agric Science.
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) IAUED requires subject of specialization, one Arts subject and any other subject.
(ii) DELSU requires Chemistry, Biology and one other Science subject.
(iii) UNILAG requires Mathematics.
(iv) UNIUYO accepts any two Science subjects.
(v) UNIBEN requires Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics.
(vi) FUAM requires Biology, Physics and Chemistry
O Level (WAEC and NECO) Requirements For Education and Integrated Science
In order to study Education and Integrated Science in the University, you will need to pass the following requirements in your O level result which can either be WAEC or NECO or even both:
Five SSCE credit passes including Biology, Chemistry, English Language and Mathematics.
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) IAUED accepts credit in English Language, relevant subject of specialization and three other Arts subjects.
(ii) UNIBEN requires Physics and any of Agricultural Science and Geography/Physics/Mathematics.
(iii) UNIUYO does not require credit pass in Physics.
(iv) TASUED requires Five ‘O’ level credits at one sitting or six ‘O’ level credits at two sittings to include Biology, Chemistry, English Language and Mathematics.
(v) OAU requires five ‘0’ level credits or five merit/credit passes at TC II. The subjects must include English Language, Mathematics and two of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, General Science and Agric Science.
(vi) FUAM requires credit pass in Further Mathematics, Technical Drawing or Physics.
(vii) UNILAG accepts Physics and Agric Science.
Direct Entry Requirements For Education and Integrated Science
To apply for Education and Integrated Science as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: (i) NCE (Integrated Science)
(ii) NCE (Science Education)
(iii) GCE ‘A’ level passes in two Science subjects
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) IAUED requires two A’ level passes in relevant teaching subjects in subject of specialization. Accepts NCE with credit or merit passes in two relevant subjects.
(ii) OAU – As for Education/Chemistry and a pass in Mathematics.
(iii) OAU requires A/Level passes in at least two Science subjects plus three other O/level credit passes including English Language and Mathematics OR NCE in Mathematics/Integrated Science plus three other subjects including mathematics and English Language at credit/merit level in TC II OR a pass at credit/merit level in Associate ship Certificate in Education of OAU or its equivalent plus three ‘O’ level credit passes.
(iv) BSU accepts NCE at merit level and ‘O’ level Mathematics.
(v) UNILAG accepts:
(a) Very good passes in the following JUPEB subjects: Physics Chemistry and Biology, and O/Level requirements
(b) Two ‘A’ Level passes in two science subjects
(c) NCE with credit/merit in Integrated Science or Science Education.
(vi) EKSU accepts a pass at NCE General English in lieu of SSCE/TC II credit in English Language.
(vii) UNIBEN requires 2/3 NCE (merit passes) including Integrated Science plus 3/2 O/L credit passes including English Language at one sitting.
(viii) BASU accepts NCE (pass with 5 years teaching experience)
(ix) TASUED accepts. NCE (Merit) in Integrated Science NCE (Science Education) at least Merit pass.
or Two ‘A’ level passes in two Science subjects
(x) ABU accepts:
(a) NCE (Integrated Science) with a minimum of C grade in Integrated Science and Education
(b) IJMB/A level pass with a minimum of C grade in Physics.
(xi) OAU accepts ‘A’ Level passes in at least two science subjects plus three other ‘0’ Level credits including English and Mathematics OR NCE in Mathematics/Integrated Science plus three other subjects including Mathematics and English Language passed at credit or credit/merit levels in the TC II OR a pass at credit/merit level in Mathematics/Integrated Science in the Association Certificate in Education of OAU or its equivalent plus three credit passes in other O/Level subjects including Mathematics and English Language.
(xii) FUAM accepts ND (Upper Credit) in Relevant fields in addition to UTME requirement.
