JAMB Subject Combination For Computer Science
In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Computer Science under the Faculty of Engineering, Environment and Technology in the institutions listed above are:
Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
O Level (WAEC and NECO) Requirements For Computer Science
In order to study Computer Science in the University, you will need to pass the following requirements in your O level result which can either be WAEC or NECO or even both:
Five SSCE credits to include English Language, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(ii) OAU accept any Science Subject in lieu of Further Mathematics.
(iii) RENAISSNCE requires Economics.
(vi) BELLS requires five SSCE Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Economics/ Geography/ Biology. A pass in Chemistry is acceptable.
Direct Entry Requirements For Computer Science
To apply for Computer Science as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: (i) ‘A’ level passes in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
(ii) ND/HND in Computer Science Upper/Lower credit respectively
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) OAU accepts ND/HND in Computer Science, upper/lower credits respectively.
(ii) AUN same as Software Engineering.
(iii) Bells accepts;
(a) Two A’ Level passes in Mathematics and Physics
(b) ND in Computer Science with at least an Upper Credit from a recognized Polytechnic.
