JAMB Subject Combination For Applied Botany
In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Applied Botany under the Faculty of Sciences in the institutions listed above are:
Chemistry, Biology and either Physics or Mathematics
O Level (WAEC and NECO) Requirements For Applied Botany
In order to study Applied Botany in the University, you will need to pass the following requirements in your O level result which can either be WAEC or NECO or even both:
Five ‘SSCE credit passes in English Language, Biology, Maths, Chemistry and any one of Health Science, Statistics, Physics and Geography
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) BASU requires credit passes in five subjects including English Language, Mathematics, to form the core course with 3 other relevant Science Subjects from Chemistry, Biology or Agric Science and Geography.
Direct Entry Requirements For Applied Botany
To apply for Applied Botany as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: Two ‘A’ level passes in Biology and either Chemistry or Physics
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) BASU accepts IJMB/A Level/GCE A Level Credit passes in Biology, Chemistry and anyone of the following 3 subjects, Mathematics, Physics or Agricultural Science. National Diploma (ND) Pass with at least Lower Credit in the following areas: Science Lab Technology, Forestry or Agriculture and Food Science Technology. The candidate must also have the 5 O’ Level requirements in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science and Physics or Geography.
