JAMB Subject Combination For Plant Breeding and Seed Science
In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Plant Breeding and Seed Science under the Faculty of Agriculture in the institutions listed above are:
Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, Mathematics/Physics.
O Level (WAEC and NECO) Requirements For Plant Breeding and Seed Science
In order to study Plant Breeding and Seed Science in the University, you will need to pass the following requirements in your O level result which can either be WAEC or NECO or even both:
Five SSCE credit passes to include Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, Mathematics, English Language and at least a pass in Physics.
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) FUAM requires five credit passes in Biology or Agriculture Science, Chemistry, Mathematics, English Language, Physics or any other Science subjects. Accepts a pass in Physics.
Direct Entry Requirements For Plant Breeding and Seed Science
To apply for Plant Breeding and Seed Science as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: Two ‘A’ level passes from Physics, Chemistry and Biology at one sitting.
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) FUAM accepts:
a) Two `A” level passes in any of Chemistry and Biology/Agricultural Science/Botany/Zoology or Mathematics, (Pure and Applied) Physics, Geology and Economics).
b) NCE/OND/HND (Credit/Merit) in Agriculture.
