JAMB Subject Combination For Nutrition and Consumer Services
In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Nutrition and Consumer Services under the Faculty of Agriculture in the institutions listed above are:
Chemistry, Biology/Agriculture and Mathematics/Physics or one Social Science subject.
O Level (WAEC and NECO) Requirements For Nutrition and Consumer Services
In order to study Nutrition and Consumer Services in the University, you will need to pass the following requirements in your O level result which can either be WAEC or NECO or even both:
Five SSCE credit passes in Chemistry, Biology/Agric Science, Mathematics, Physics, English Language and any one of Nutrition, Fine Arts, Textile, Construction, Technical Drawing, Basic Electricity, Basic Catering and Food Services, Bakery and Confectioneries, General Metal Work, Men Garment Construction and Finishing, Spinning, Weaving, Surface Design and Printing, Bleaching, Dyeing and Finishing, Ladies Garment Construction and Finishing.
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) OAU accepts Physics, Geography. Home/ Management Statistics, Economics, B/Studies, Zoology, Commerce or any of the following pairs Chem and Biology., Chemistry and Agriculture and Chemistry and Economics.
Direct Entry Requirements For Nutrition and Consumer Services
To apply for Nutrition and Consumer Services as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: Two ‘A’ level passes or equivalents in Chemistry and Biology/Botany/Agricultural Science/Economics/Physics/Mathematics/Geography/Accounting.
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) OAU – accepts NCE in Home Economics/Biology/Chemistry/Agric Science with five merit/credit passes in TC II in the following subjects: Social Studies, Maths, Agric Science, General Studies, Fine Arts, Geography and Rural Science.
