JAMB Subject Combination For Mathematics / Computer Science
In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Mathematics / Computer Science under the Faculty of Sciences in the institutions listed above are:
Maths, Physics and any one of Chemistry, Economics and Biology
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) FUAM require Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
O Level (WAEC and NECO) Requirements For Mathematics / Computer Science
In order to study Mathematics / Computer Science in the University, you will need to pass the following requirements in your O level result which can either be WAEC or NECO or even both:
Five SSCE credits in English Language , Mathematics and any three of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Further Maths, and Technical Drawing.
Direct Entry Requirements For Mathematics / Computer Science
To apply for Mathematics / Computer Science as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: Two ‘A’ level passes in Maths and Physics
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i)FUAM accept NCE, ND/HND in relevant fields at credit level plus UTME requirements.
(ii) NDU accepts
(a) Higher School Certificate (HSC) in relevant two subjects to include Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, plus a pass in the third subject to include Chemistry or any other relevant science subject, may be admitted into the two (2) hundred level of the degree programmes.
(b) Holders of credit passes in ND in relevant areas of specialization (e.g. Computer Engineering) are eligible for direct entry to year two (2) of the programme. c. Holders of NCE passes at merit level in Mathematics or Computer Science (as the case may be), Physics, Chemistry, Integrated Science or Economics are eligible for direct entry to year two (2) of the programmes. d. Holders of HND at least credit level passes in Mathematics or Computer Science are eligible for direct entry to year three (3) of the programme.
