JAMB Subject Combination For Information Science and Media Studies
In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Information Science and Media Studies under the Faculty of Sciences in the institutions listed above are:
Mathematics, Physics and one of Biology, Chemistry, Agric Science, Economics and Geography
O Level (WAEC and NECO) Requirements For Information Science and Media Studies
In order to study Information Science and Media Studies in the University, you will need to pass the following requirements in your O level result which can either be WAEC or NECO or even both:
Five SSCE credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Physics plus two other science subjects
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) BAYERO accepts only Science subjects in Computer Science, does not accept Economics.
Direct Entry Requirements For Information Science and Media Studies
To apply for Information Science and Media Studies as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: (i) Two A/L passes in science subjects including Mathematics
(ii) NCE with at least Merit in Mathematics and one other Science or Social Science subject.
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) BAYERO accepts:
(a) National Diploma in Computer Science or Computer Studies, NCE in Computer Science or Electrical/Electronics.
(b) HND (in relevant fields-Computer Science, Graphics, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Electrical/Electronics).
(c) B.Sc Degree (Natural Science, Physical Science, and Environmental Science).
