In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Home Economics and Food Management under the Faculty of Agriculture in the institutions listed above are:
Chemistry, Biology/Agriculture and Mathematics/Physics or one Social Science subject.
O Level (WAEC and NECO) Requirements For Home Economics and Food Management
In order to study Home Economics and Food Management in the University, you will need to pass the following requirements in your O level result which can either be WAEC or NECO or even both:
Five SSCE credit passes in Chemistry, Biology/Agric Science, Mathematics, Physics, English Language and any one of Nutrition, Fine Arts, Textile, Construction, Technical Drawing, Basic Electricity, Basic Catering and Food Services, Bakery and Confectioneries, General Metal Work, Men Garment Construction and Finishing, Spinning, Weaving, Surface Design and Printing, Bleaching, Dyeing and Finishing, Ladies Garment Construction and Finishing.
Direct Entry Requirements For Home Economics and Food Management
To apply for Home Economics and Food Management as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: Two ‘A’ level passes or equivalents in Chemistry and Biology/Botany/Agricultural Science/Economics/Physics/Mathematics/Geography/Accounting.
