JAMB Subject Combination For Forestry and Wood Technology
In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Forestry and Wood Technology under the Faculty of Agriculture in the institutions listed above are:
Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, Mathematics/Physics.
O Level (WAEC and NECO) Requirements For Forestry and Wood Technology
In order to study Forestry and Wood Technology in the University, you will need to pass the following requirements in your O level result which can either be WAEC or NECO or even both:
Five SSCE credit passes to include Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, Mathematics, English Language and at least a pass in Physics.
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) FUTA requires at least five credits in WASCE, SSCE, GCE (Ordinary Level), NECO or equivalent at not more than two sittings in Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science, Mathematics, Physics and English Language. In addition, applicants must obtain an acceptable pass in Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
Direct Entry Requirements For Forestry and Wood Technology
To apply for Forestry and Wood Technology as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: Two ‘A’ level passes from Physics, Chemistry and Biology at one sitting.
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) FUTA accepts Candidates with:
a) National Diploma (ND with upper credit) or equivalent, or Higher National Diploma (HND) with a minimum of lower credit in Forestry or Agriculture from recognized institutions.
b) GCE Advanced Level or equivalent at one sitting in at least two of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Biology with a minimum of 6 (six) points. Holders of National Certificate in Education with Agriculture double major and at credit pass level.
