JAMB Subject Combination For Economics and Development Studies
In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Economics and Development Studies under the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences in the institutions listed above are:
Economics, Mathematics and any of Government, History, Geography, Lit-in-English, French and CRK/IRK.
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(I) FED-OYEEKITI requires Mathematics, Economics and other Social Science or Arts subject.
O Level (WAEC and NECO) Requirements For Economics and Development Studies
In order to study Economics and Development Studies in the University, you will need to pass the following requirements in your O level result which can either be WAEC or NECO or even both:
Five SSCE credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any two of Arts or Social Science subjects.
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(I) FED-OYEEKITI requires the other two subjects to include one science subject and any one of Accounting, Business Management, Government, Geography or Statistics.
Direct Entry Requirements For Economics and Development Studies
To apply for Economics and Development Studies as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: Two ‘A’ level passes in Economics and any one of Mathematics, Statistics, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Agric Science, Accounting, Business Management, History and Government.
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) FED-OYEEKITI requires two A’ level passes chosen from Economics, Accounts, Business Management, Government, Geography or Statistics.
(ii) IGBINEDION accepts National Diploma (Lower Credit) in Accounting, Business Admin./ Banking and Finance; NCE in Economics, Mathematics or any other Social Science subject.
