JAMB Subject Combination For Chemical Sciences
In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Chemical Sciences under the Faculty of Sciences in the institutions listed above are:
Chemistry and two of Physics, Biology and Mathematics.
O Level (WAEC and NECO) Requirements For Chemical Sciences
In order to study Chemical Sciences in the University, you will need to pass the following requirements in your O level result which can either be WAEC or NECO or even both:
Five SSCE credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
() GODFREY and KUST require five ‘O’ level credit passes including English Language, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology and any other Science subject.
(ii) GODFREY requires five SSCE credit passes in not more than two sittings in subjects which include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology.
Direct Entry Requirements For Chemical Sciences
To apply for Chemical Sciences as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: (i) Two ‘A’ level passes in Chemistry and any one of Physics, Mathematics or Biology.
(ii) ND/NCE with good grades in relevant ‘O’ level subjects.
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) GODFREY requires two “A” level passes in Chemistry and any one of Physics, Mathematics or Biology. ND/NCE with good grade in relevant “O” level subjects.
(ii) CRUTECH accepts:
a) For Chemistry ND (Upper credit) in Science Laboratory Technology, HND (Lower credit) in Food Technology, NCE (merit) in Chemistry and any other Science subject, IJMB
(B grade) in Chemistry and any other Science subject.
b) For Biochemistry ND (Upper credit) in Science Laboratory Technology, HND (Lower credit) in Food Technology, NCE (merit) in Chemistry and Biology, IJMB (B grade) in Chemistry and Biology.
