JAMB Subject Combination For Animal Nutrition and Biotechnology
In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Animal Nutrition and Biotechnology under the Faculty of Agriculture in the institutions listed above are:
Biology/Agric Science., Chemistry and Mathematics/Physics.
O Level (WAEC and NECO) Requirements For Animal Nutrition and Biotechnology
In order to study Animal Nutrition and Biotechnology in the University, you will need to pass the following requirements in your O level result which can either be WAEC or NECO or even both:
Five SSCE credit passes in Agricultural Science/Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and any two other subjects and at least a pass in English Language and Physics.
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) MAUTECH requires five credit to include Chemistry, Biology/Agric. Science, Physics / Mathematics Geography/ Economics, English Language
(ii) UNAAB requires:
a)Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology.
b)At least a pass in Physics.
c)Candidates with pass grade in Biology must possess credit pass in Agricultural Science.It does not accept Agricultural Science in lieu of Biology.
(iii) LAUTECH accepts Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology/Agric Science, Physics and English Language.
Direct Entry Requirements For Animal Nutrition and Biotechnology
To apply for Animal Nutrition and Biotechnology as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: Two ‘A’ level passes or equivalent in Chemistry and Biology or Agric Science.
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) UNAAB accepts:
a) Two A’ level credit passes in Chemistry and one of Zoology/Botany/Agricultural Science/Biology, Mathematics or Physics.
b) ND/HND (Upper credit) in Agriculture from a recognized institution in any one of Animal Sciences, Animal Production and Health, Husbandry, Agric-Economics, Fisheries and Forestry and Wildlife Management plus UTME requirements.
c) NCE in Agricultural Science, Biology, Chemistry or Physics (credit) plus UTME requirements.
(ii) MAUTECH accept ND/HND with credit pass in Agriculture
(iii) LAUTECH requires ND with Upper Credit/HND/NCE at Credit Level in relevant subject, (Plus UTME requirement) may be considered for admission into 200 Level.
