University of Nigeria, Nsukka will resume on the 16th of July, 2021.
JULY
- Friday 16 – Arrival of freshmen/provision of accommodation
- Monday 19 – Registration begins for freshmen
- Friday 26 – Orientation for freshmen begins
- Friday 30 – Orientation for freshmen ends
- – Arrival of returning students/provision of accommodation
AUGUST
- Monday 02 – Registration begins for returning students
- Monday 09 – Lectures begin for all students
The University Administration will ensure strict adherence to prescribed NCDC protocols for the safety of both staff and students of the University. Consequently, students are to note the following:
All Students must wear face masks and carry hand sanitizers before they will be allowed access to hostels, classrooms and any office in the University; Students are expected to utilize the handwashing materials provided in designated places in the University to wash their hands properly as they gain entry and depart various places;
Students must comply with social distancing rules;
Students are advised to strictly observe hostel rules to avoid overcrowding in the hostels;
Students are to use ICT tools such as official emails, WhatsApp, text messages and phone calls to avoid overcrowding;
Infrared thermometers will be provided to check the temperature of students before entry into hostels and lecture halls. Students with temperatures above tolerable levels or exhibit other symptoms of corona virus will be referred to the University’s medical facilities.

You can find update on the resumption date of University of Nigeria, Nsukka above. However, the federal government of Nigeria has given the authorisation for all institutions in Nigeria to remain closed until January 18, 2021.
Bearing that in mind, UNN resumption date will be as from January especially if ASUU strike is eased for the time being. So if ASUU strike is not in play, UNN will resume by January, if not, then it will be as from February 2021 or beyond.
