JAMB Subject Combination For Industrial Technical Education
In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Industrial Technical Education under the Faculty of Education in the institutions listed above are:
Mathematics, Physics and one other Science subject.
O Level (WAEC and NECO) Requirements For Industrial Technical Education
In order to study Industrial Technical Education in the University, you will need to pass the following requirements in your O level result which can either be WAEC or NECO or even both:
Five SSCE credits to include Physics or Mathematics.
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) UNN requires five ‘O’ level credits to include Physics or Mathematics at GCE/SSCE, NTC, City and Guilds intermediate in addition to UTME entry requirement.
Direct Entry Requirements For Industrial Technical Education
To apply for Industrial Technical Education as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: (i) Two ‘A’ level passes in Physics and Mathematics.
(ii) ND with at least lower credit in Civil Engineering, Production/Elect. Engineering.
(iii) Final City and Guilds or its equivalent plus National Technical Certificate.
(iv) NCE in Technology Education plus credit pass in Physics or Mathematics.
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) UNN accepts:
a. Two ‘A’ level passes in Physics and Mathematics in addition to departmental UTME requirement.
b. ND with, at least, lower credit in Civil Engineering, Production/Elect. Engineering, Drafting Technology.
c. Final City and Guilds or its equivalent plus National Technical Certificate.
d. NCE with, at least merit pass in Technical Education
e. Engineering Technicians Part II Certificate.
