JAMB Subject Combination For Home Economics and Hotel Management and Education
In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Home Economics and Hotel Management and Education under the Faculty of Education in the institutions listed above are:
Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science and one other subject.
O Level (WAEC and NECO) Requirements For Home Economics and Hotel Management and Education
In order to study Home Economics and Hotel Management and Education in the University, you will need to pass the following requirements in your O level result which can either be WAEC or NECO or even both:
Five SSCE NTC/NBC credits or TC II merit passes including English language, Mathematics, Home Economics, Biology and Chemistry.
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) TASUED requires Five GCE ‘O’ level or NTC/ NBC Credits at one sitting or six GCE ‘O’ level/NTC or NBC credits at two sittings in-including English Language, Mathematics and any other subject from: Food and Nutrition, Home Management, Clothing and Textile, Agric Science, Biology, Economics, Health Education and Chemistry. A pass in Chemistry is required.
Direct Entry Requirements For Home Economics and Hotel Management and Education
To apply for Home Economics and Hotel Management and Education as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: (i) NCE in Home Economics with a minimum of merit pass.
(ii) GCE ‘A’ level in two of Chemistry and any Biology, Botany and Agric Science.
(iii) ND/HND Home Economics (credit level) or Food Science or Hotel and Catering Management or any other related course.
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) TASUED accepts:
NCE in Home Economics with a minimum of Merit Pass or GCE ‘A’ level in two of Chemistry, Biology, and Agric Science. Also accepts ND/HND Upper Credit, Home Economics or Food Science or Hotel and Catering Management or any other related courses.
