JAMB Subject Combination For Food Science and Engineering
In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Food Science and Engineering under the Faculty of Engineering, Environment and Technology in the institutions listed above are:
Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics or Biology.
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) LAUTECH requires Physics
O Level (WAEC and NECO) Requirements For Food Science and Engineering
In order to study Food Science and Engineering in the University, you will need to pass the following requirements in your O level result which can either be WAEC or NECO or even both:
Five SSCE credit passes to include Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English Language and any other Science subject
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) LAUTECH accepts Agricultural Science in lieu of Biology.
Direct Entry Requirements For Food Science and Engineering
To apply for Food Science and Engineering as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: (i)‘A’ level passes in two of Physics Chemistry, and Mathematics.
(ii) ND/HND (upper credit) in relevant fields.
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) LAUTECH accepts ND/HND (upper credit) in relevant fields into 200 level. Also GCE ‘A’ Level Passes in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. LAUTECH may accept A/L Biology in lieu of Physics.
