In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Education and Fine and Applied Arts under the Faculty of Education in the institutions listed above are:

Fine Arts, one other Arts subject and any other subject

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) UNIBEN accepts Fine Art, one other Art subject and any other subject.

(ii) IAUED accepts one relevant Science subject and two other Science subjects. Fine Arts is not compulsory.

O Level (WAEC and NECO) Requirements For Education and Fine and Applied Arts

In order to study Education and Fine and Applied Arts in the University, you will need to pass the following requirements in your O level result which can either be WAEC or NECO or even both:
SSCE or TC II or NTC/NBC credits/merit passes in five subjects including Fine Art and English Language.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) UNIBEN requires other subjects from History, French, Fine Art, Government, Religious and Literature-in-English.

(ii) OAU requires GCE ‘O’ Level or TC II Credit/Merit passes in five subjects including Fine Arts and English Language.

(iii) IAUED requires credit passes in Mathematics. Fine Arts is not compulsory.

Direct Entry Requirements For Education and Fine and Applied Arts

To apply for Education and Fine and Applied Arts as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: (i) NCE merit passes in Fine and Applied Arts. (Double Major).

(ii) A/Level passes in Fine Arts and any other subject.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) OAU accepts GCE ‘A’ Level or NCE credit/merit passes in Fine Arts and one other Arts subject plus 3 ‘0’ Level /TC II subjects including English Language passed in Credit or Merit Level

(ii) UNIBEN accepts:
(a) ‘A’ level Fine and Applied Arts and any of English Language,, Literature-in-English, Religious Knowledge, French or History/ Government.
(b) accepts 3/2 ‘O’ Level credit passes including Fine and Applied Arts and other subjects from English Language, Literature n English, Religious Knowledge, French, History /Government plus 2/3 NCE merit passes which should include Fine and Applied Arts.
