Each academic calendar includes deadlines for cancellation, withdrawal, and dropping classes, along with other significant dates that vary depending on the type of calendar.
It is important to consider how the dates on academic calendars impact all business operations, such as class registration, tuition reimbursements, and statistical reporting, when creating them.

FULL SEMESTER CLASS DEADLINES
Sept 8 – Move-in Day
Sept 8-9 – Get Connected
Sept 11 – Classes begin
Sept 11 – PAYMENT DEADLINES – Full Semester
- Tuition, Fees and Health Plan
Sept 17 – Last day to add to a Full Semester & First Block Waiting List
Sept 18 – Last day to pay tuition (by 11:59 p.m. MST) before a 5% late fee is added – Full Semester
Sept 18 – REGISTRATION DEADLINE – Last day to add Full Semester courses
Sept 18 – Last day to drop Individual Full Semester courses and get a
tuition refund
Sept 18 – STUDENT HEALTH PLAN DEADLINES – Full Semester
- Enrollment of dependents for new students
- Waiver of Health Plan for students
Sept 19 – Last day to return books with receipt to University Store for full credit
Oct 3 – Drop Deadline – Last day to drop Full Semester courses without receiving a “W” grade on the transcript
Oct 3 – Last day to change from credit to audit or audit to credit for Full Semester courses
Oct 3 – FINANCIAL AID DETERMINATION DATE
Nov 2 – Last day to withdraw completely from ALL courses and receive a pro-rated tuition refund
Nov 6 – Withdrawal Deadline – Last day to withdraw from individual Full Semester courses and receive a “W” grade and not the grade earned
Nov 13 – December 2023 graduation application deadline – Students must apply by this date for their name to be printed in the official program.
Nov 22 – Non-Teaching Day – No Classes Nov 23-24 Thanksgiving Holiday – No Classes
Nov 28 – Discontinuance Deadline (withdraw completely) – Student Enrolled in only Full-Semester courses, last day to withdraw completely from all courses and receive “W” grades and not the grades earned
Nov 28 – Deferment deadline for Fall Semester
Dec 12-13 – Testing Days
