If you are interested in knowing the requirements needed for a direct entry (DE) admission into Vocational and Technical Education under the faculty of Education then am happy to inform you that this post contains the direct entry requirements from universities in Nigeria that offers Vocational and Technical Education.

Before we proceed, this is to inform all direct entry (DE) aspirants who wish to apply for direct entry (DE) admission into any of the universities in Nigeria to study Vocational and Technical Education under the faculty of Education that Vocational and Technical Education direct entry requirements are now available on this page.

Direct Entry (DE) Requirements for Vocational and Technical Education

Without wasting much time, the direct entry requirements to study Vocational and Technical Education are:

(i) NCE with merit pass in Technical Education.

(ii) ND in Mechanical /Electrical or Electronics Engineering.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) AAU accepts:
a pass in General English at NCE levels as an equivalent of ‘O’ level credit pass in English Language.

(ii) AAU accepts merit pass in NCE in Home-Economics.

(iii)AAU accepts Economics/Commerce for Accounting Education; Agric and one other Science subject for Agric Education while Biology or any other Science subject is required for Home Economics. A pass in Mathematics is acceptable in Secretarial Education.”

(iv) BSU awards B.Sc Ed Technology.

(v) UNIOSUN accepts candidates with any of the following qualification:
a. Two passes in relevant subject areas at Advanced Level with SSCE/GCE “O” Level credit passes in three other subjects at not more than two sittings.
b. Three passes in relevant subject areas at Advanced Level with SSCE/GCE ‘O’ Level credit passes in two other subjects at not more than two sittings.
c. At least merit in two major subjects in relevant areas in the NCE with SSCE/GCE “O” level credit.
passes or its equivalent in three other subjects, including English Language.

(vi) BSU accepts NCE, ANTC, ND with credit passes in SSCE, NTC, GCE, City and Guilds and WAEC Technical with credit passes in Federal Craft certificate.

(vii) EBSU accepts HND, NCE and ND with a minimum of Merit and Upper credit respectively in the relevant fields.

Note that the above direct entry requirements may only apply to Vocational and Technical Education under the faculty of Education. If the Vocational and Technical Education you intend in studying is in another faculty, the requirements for direct entry admission may be different from the one on this page.
