WAEC And NECO Subject Requirements for Linguistics, Igbo and other African Languages
The subjects required to study Linguistics, Igbo and other African Languages in both WAEC and NECO are as follows:
Five SSCE credit passes to include Igbo, English Language and any other Arts subject.
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) UNN requires 5 O’ Level credit passes to include English language and one Science subject. Candidates for Linguistics must possess a credit pass in Literature in English while candidates for linguistics and Nigerian Language must possess a credit pass in the Nigerian language to be combined with linguistics.
The O level (WAEC and NECO) requirements posted above may only apply to Linguistics, Igbo and other African Languages under the faculty of Arts and Humanities. If the Linguistics, Igbo and other African Languages you intend in studying is in another faculty, the subject requirements may be different from the one on this page.
