This is to inform all aspirants who wish to apply for admission in Nigeria into any of federal, state or private owned universities to study Building Technology under the faculty of Engineering, Environment and Technology that the NECO and WAEC requirements which includes the compulsory subjects needed for Building Technology has been published here in this post.

WAEC And NECO Subject Requirements for Building Technology

The subjects required to study Building Technology in both WAEC and NECO are as follows:

Five SSCE credit passes in Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry and any one of Geography, Economics, Arts and Technical drawing. For holders of NTC, the other relevant subjects could be Intro. to Building Construction, Bricklaying, Concreting, Walls, Floors and Ceiling Finishing, Building/Engineering Drawing, Joinery, Carpentry, Gas, Steam Work and Bronze Welding, Cold/Hot Water Supply, Sanitation and Drainage.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) BELLS requires Five SSCE Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any one from the following:, Biology, Technical Drawing, Geography, Economics, Building Construction..

(ii) COVENANT requires English Language, Mathematics, Physics and additional two credit passes in the following subjects: Chemistry, Economics, Technical Drawing, Further Mathematics, Geography, Land Surveying, Building Construction, Biology and Agricultural Science. At least a pass in Chemistry is also required.

(iii) ABSU requires five SSCE credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any two subjects from Chemistry, Technical Drawing, Geography, Arts and Economics or any NTC relevant subjects.

(iv) BAUCHI requires five SSCE credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics and Any other two subjects from Chemistry, Geography, Economics, technical Drawing or relevant trade subjects.

The O level (WAEC and NECO)  requirements posted above may only apply to Building Technology under the faculty of Engineering, Environment and Technology.
